Refill instructions foR Brother TN2220 / TN2210 / TN2010. how to reset the cartridge. Released in November 2010, the Brother HL-2270 printer engine is based on a new 24/27ppm, 1200 dpi laser engine. These machines have a 1st page out in approx 8.5 seconds, and come standard with 8 or 32Mb of memory depending on the machine. The HL-2270DW printers also have duplexing built in. Our HL-2270DW machine came with a starter cartridge yield 700 pages (a low yield TN cartridge without a reset gear). CURRENT MACHINES RELEASED SO FAR HL-2130* HL-2220* HL-2230 HL-2240 HL-2240D HL-2250DN HL-2270DW *Llisted in service manual, but not seen anywhere as of 11/10/2010. Refilling your TN2210 & TN2220 Toner Cartridges Besides the starter cartridge, there are two different yielding toner cartridges available for these machines: the TN2210 TN2220. The TN2110 cartridge is rated for 1200 pages at 5%. The T2220 is rated for 2600 pages at 5%. The drum unit is new as well: part DR2200 is rated for 12000 pages. (The fuser assembly, paper feed assembly and laser unit's all have a stated life of 50000 pages. The printer itself is rated for 50000 pages, so basically when these parts are done so is your printer !) There is a reset gear that resets the printer each time a new toner cartridge is installed. In our machine, the starter cartridge was marked just "TN" and had the reset gear section completely blocked off. As with previous Brother cartridges, the waste toner is repelled out of the drum ...
